A Very Pirate Christmas – hinnat ja saatavuus

"A crew of scurvy pirates were lurking in the dark, savage as the stormy sea and greedy as a shark. They climbed aboard that flying sleigh and did a dreadful thing... They tied poor Father Christmas up with gift wrap and with string!". From the genius collaboration of Timothy Knapman, author of Dinosaurs in the Supermarket and Russell Ayto, illustrator of Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs comes this delightful, twisted Christmas tale that sees Father Christmas being captured by scurrilous robot pirates. The pirates then set about stealing the sleigh, pilfering the presents and generally ruining the holiday. What sort of Christmas morning is in store? Can anyone thwart the pirate Santa and rescue the real Father Christmas? Timothy Knapman's funny, rhyming text is paired brilliantly with Russell Ayto's distinctive, atmospheric artwork. A rollicking, laugh-out-loud festive picture book that combines robots and pirates and Christmas into one fun and funny tale. A great read for anyone who loves the Captain Flinn books by Giles Andreae. Perfect for children aged 3+. Timothy Knapman is both writer and playwright and was cast adrift on a boat made of books when he was very small, but made his way to Surrey where he now lives. He is the author of Mungo and the Picture Book Pirates and Mungo and the Dinosaur Island as well as the smash hit Dinosaurs in the Supermarket. Russell Ayto has won many major awards, among them The Nestle Children's Book Prize Gold Award and The Roald Dahl Funny Prize, and he has been nominated twice for the illustrious Kate Greenaway Medal.
