Empire of Women & One of our Cities is Missing – hinnat ja saatavuus

Armchair Fiction presents extra large editions of classic science fiction double novels, complete with original illustrations. The first novel, "Empire of Women," is by veteran science fiction author, John Fletcher. The secrets of eternal youth... That was the reward the men of Konapar were desperately looking for when they decided to stage an attack on the long-living women of the planet Phira. And it was this invasion scenario that one of the cagiest space pirates in the entire galaxy fell into. After encountering a mighty fleet of Konaparian warships, Captain Gan Alain and his indomitable crew were more or less "drafted" by the Regent of Konapar. Alain's vessel, the Warspear, was to be a main support ship to the Regent as the attack on Phira commenced; for it was well known that nowhere in space was there a man who had the savvy and no-how of Captain Gan Alain. But fighting against women was something new to the Captain, and like wild horses, brutal men can be tamed-and greedy men can be bought The second novel, "One of our Cities is Missing," written by Sci-fi author Irving Cox, is a riveting portrayal of the horrors of nuclear war. There were cities being vaporized across America. The Communists had finally made their big move. Unfortunately, it was the big "nuclear" move. Stark terror and total devastation enveloped the face of the planet. Who would save humanity when the trusted leaders of government could no longer be trusted? In this riveting portrayal of the horrors of nuclear war, veteran science fiction author Irving Cox shows us that it's the "little" people who will likely survive the horrors of nuclear war. Facing seemingly insurmountable odds, they band together in an effort to bring peace to a world in tatters-peace and a semblance of sanity to a devastated mankind. But while their intentions are noble, their chances of success seem decidedly low...
