ENGLISH DESCRIPTION The first two novels in the "Kingkiller Chronicle," the works that catapulted Patrick Rothfuss to literary fame, available together for the first time in an impressive boxed edition. The Name of the Wind (Kingkiller Chronicle 1) At an inn in no man's land, a traveler prepares to tell the true story of his life for the first time. It is a story that only he knows, that has been diluted through rumor, conjecture and tavern tales celebrating him as a legend believed to be long dead: Kvothe... musician beggar, thief, student, magician, hero, murderer. He is finally ready to reveal the truth about himself, and to do that, he must start at the beginning: a childhood spent among a wandering artistic troupe, years surviving as a pickpocket on the streets of a big city, and arrival at the university, where he hoped to find the answers he sought. ________________ The Wise Man's Fear (Kingkiller Chronicle 2) The man may have disappeared, but not the myth. Musician, beggar, thief, student, magician, world traveler, hero and murderer, Kvothe covered his tracks. Not even now that he's been found, not even with the shadows creeping into the corners of the world, is he willing to return. But his story continues, the adventure goes on, and Kvothe will keep telling it to reveal the truth behind the legend.
