She is diagnosed with stage four non-Hodgkin's T-cell lymphoma, that has metastasized throughout her body. Scans reveal over twenty tumors, scattered in her chest, spine, pelvis, lymph nodes and liver. Initially she is given a 40% chance of survival. After three months of brutal, high-dose chemotherapy her odds of living are reduced to only 20% if chemotherapy has put her into remission. Then she and her husband are given the devastating news: she is not in remission. Doctors offer only one remaining option - a risky, bone marrow transplant with her brother as donor. This gripping story reads like a fast-paced novel, but it is not fiction. Her first-hand account relates how her faith is tested through intense trial, and how she and her husband are able to walk in God's powerful grace when they believe she is going to die.
