Klara, who is six, likes to make her own decisions. It’s not easy because other people also get to decide. Klara lives with foster-mom Nilla, while her mom sleeps in a hospital, her dad in another place, and little sister Lena somewhere else. This was not something Klara decided. Every day Klara tries to help her dad, who sometimes sleeps on a park bench which is embarrassing in front of new friends. But today, he is nowhere to be found. Klara tells herself it will all be fine. When a little white lie puts her in a corner and everything seems like it’s going to unravel, Klara must choose revealing the truth to a friend and saving her father. ____________________________________ About the Author The author Eva Edberg grew up in a foster home in Sweden and has written several popular children’s and young adult books.
