The grammar makes accessible the essential aspects of the language as far as they are recorded in still available sources. The entire corpus of published Sabaean texts including informal inscriptions on wooden cylinders forms the basis for this study. The book is divided into 14 lessons containing a systematic description of Sabaean writing, phonology, morphology and syntax. It also covers historical linguistic and dialectic developments as well as formal aspects of the written recordings.
