This adaptation allows the reader the opportunity of reading the first volume of the novel in a version that, though simplified, strives to maintain as much as possible the Victor Hugo's style. Reading this work is an excellent means of growing your French vocabulary by reading a story that piques the curiosity of the reader. NOTE: This edition is not the complete novel.
