Empty for many years, the house at what would become Calloway Corners, Louisiana became the birthplace of the fictitious Calloway sisters; Mariah, Jo, Tess and Eden of the Harlequin romance novels, each named for one of the sisters. The house was used on the cover art of each of the four novels. Fiction became fact on February 2, 1993 when Calloway Corners, Louisiana became a "real town" and a bed & breakfast inn.
