Psalms: A Devotional Commentary – hinnat ja saatavuus

With accessible expository commentary paired with inspirational devotional thought, The See Series speaks to both the heart and mind--unlocking a deeper understanding of the Bible often reserved for scholars and theologians. The Psalms provide an occasion for us to immerse ourselves in God's presence and the nature of his Kingdom. We can read the Bible and listen to sermons all day long, but the truth we read or hear just fades away after a few days, unless we are cultivating the Kingdom within us. The soil of our hearts needs to be right. In many respects, this is what King David and other psalmists wrote about in the Psalms. They are case studies in truth taking root in the heart, where God ultimately wants his Word and his Holy Spirit to dwell. Written by beloved devotional writer and biblical scholar Chris Tiegreen, each book of The See Series does more than encourage us simply to know and then do; rather, it casts a vision for us to see, then be, then live. Like Jesus, who incorporated visual language into all his teaching, this series aims at refocusing our inner eye. If we can see what biblical writers saw and live according to that vision, we can be transformed. A valuable resource for any Christian, each commentary includes: an introduction to the biblical book to aid your studyan introduction for each subsection of the book, explaining its place and purpose in the text, the historical context or background of that section, and how it fits into the big-picture vision of biblical trutha series of devotionals on the text that further explain purpose and meaning, offer suggestions for practical application, and inspire and challenge you to re-envision--to learn to see in new waysa discussion guide in the back to help you further reflect on the Scripture passages and/or talk about them with others to expand your spiritual vision even morePsalms: A Devotional Commentary will help this Old Testament book of poetry, prayer, praise, and lament come alive for you, bringing transformation for your mind and imagination.
