I didn't understand the importance of my story and didn't want to tell it. So, I started coming up with any reason for not being a motivational speaker. I stopped answering emails and phone calls. I was running. I fought my calling for a long time, until one day, God opened my eyes to see that the times when I did speak were effective. I was doing something good. I was doing something that mattered. My journey was never about me. It was about the Almighty's will for me. I was required to help people who had faced some of the same things I faced and overcame. At first, it appeared senseless for me to believe that my book would make a difference when there were so many faith-based books on the market. But there is one thing I know about the Almighty; He works in mysterious ways. When He calls you as one of His servants and instructs you to do His will, disobedience is NOT an option."
