The 2014 Supplement to the 2012 Edition of the Manual for Courts-Martial (MCM) is a complete revision of the Military Rules of Evidence. Classified information- Mil. R. Evid. 505 is amended to significantly restructure the rule to bring greater clarity and regularity to military practice. The changes focus primarily on expanding the military judge's explicit authority to conduct ex parte pretrial conferences in connection with classified information. Rule 506. Government information other than classified information- Mil. R. Evid. 506 is amended to significantly revise the rule to bring greater clarity and also to align it with changes made to Mil. R.
