In 2015 Marla was diagnosed with cancer yet again. A diagnosis of breast cancer was shocking and led to surgeries and treatment. While working on this book, Marla lost both her mother and mother-in-law to cancer within the same year. Dr. Marla Friedman is a full-time professor of business and entrepreneurship. She is a best-selling Amazon author and national speaker on cancer topics. Marla is a founding member of Lighthouse Dragons SOS, a dragon boat team for breast cancer survivors based in Jupiter, FL.
