In October 2005, RAND researchers went to Mississippi to help the Governor's Commission on Recovery, Rebuilding, and Renewal and the Affordable Housing Subcommittee of the Infrastructure Issues Committee. They identified policy and implementation options that could help local communities address affordable-housing issues. They considered challenges in providing affordable housing and strategies for dealing with those challenges.

Presents the results of a yearlong analysis of the health care system in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, with a focus on primary care. The authors project future supply and demand for health services, describe the strengths of the health care system in the Kurdistan Region as well as the challenges it faces including financing issues, and discusses what strategies can be pursued to move toward a more effective and higher-quality health care system.

The first phase of this study used a variety of approaches to assess the health care needs of California prisoners upon their release, the geographic distribution of state prisoners who return to local communities, and the health care services that are available in these communities to provide policymakers with a picture of communities' capacity to meet the needs of parolees and other underserved populations.
