Each time, it involves scientists who vanish without a trace of violence, only to end up voluntarily behind the Iron Curtain. Meanwhile, Hilary Craven has lost all hope in life. When she meets Agent Jessop, determined to uncover the fate of a missing scientist, she becomes entangled in a dangerous expedition to North Africa, with the mission of finding the scientist and uncovering the reason behind his disappearance.
