Alexis Griggs

As a student today, you do not want to simply learn about the world -- you want to change it. Gaines/Miller/Griggs' "Criminal Justice in Action," 12th Edition, offers a template for that change. This magazine-style text explores big questions about police tactics, incarceration policies, justice reform and other major issues in criminal justice. Think critically, ethically and practically about real-world issues from current headlines. Small investigations throughout the text help you understand how the U. S. criminal justice system affects everyone. Build essential skills for a career in criminal justice, or any field, as you explore the balance of interests, concepts and theories shaping today’s system. MindTap reinforces learning with video quizzes, decision-making activities, chapter quizzes and new Listen and React activities that task students to listen critically and respond.
