It has been described as "the greatest church history ever written outside of North America " When the Pentecostal Awakening came to Chile, it caused an explosion that was heard throughout the country. It was followed by the expulsion of the Pentecostals from their churches, just as happened in the United States and other countries around the world. Avsikten med denna andra upplaga är att belysa Strindbergs intresse och kunskaper om floran, och hur han vävt in detta i sitt författarskap. Floran (växter och växtnamn) har en mer central roll för Strindberg än vad man vanligen tänker på. Boken ger delvis en ny bild av Strindberg som en kunnig och observant naturskildrare. Växter är ständigt närvarande, och med dem kan man tolka graden av realism eller symbolism i den aktuella texten. Alice Rasmussen har läst allt som finns utgivet av Strindberg, dessutom brev och några opublicerade skrifter. Hon har analyserat och katalogiserat det som har botanisk anknytning. Rent konkret visar resultatet bland annat att Strindberg använt cirka 1 500 växtnamn. Det är slående att så många av namnen (cirka 900) är unika, dvs. att växten ifråga bara omnämns i en enda av hans texter. Strindbergs flora är indelad i tre avsnitt – Avdelning I ger en översikt hur Strindberg använder växterna i sitt författarskap. Avdelning II är en förteckning och resonerande presentation av de växtnamn som omnämnts.
