Die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung eines Landes steht in direktem Zusammenhang mit seinen Investitionen in die Infrastruktur, genauer gesagt in den Transportsektor und seine verschiedenen Verkehrstr ger, die die Logistikkette des Sektors bilden. Der industrielle Fortschritt h ngt von diesen Investitionen ab, um die Produkte sicher, zuverl ssig und zu den niedrigsten Kosten zu transportieren. Die Bedeutung des Schienenverkehrs f r die Entwicklung Brasiliens liegt auf der Hand, denn sein Hauptmerkmal ist die F higkeit, gro e Mengen an G tern ber mittlere und lange Strecken sicherer und effizienter als auf der Stra e zu transportieren. Der brasilianische Schienenverkehr befindet sich jedoch in einer kritischen Situation, was vielleicht darauf zur ckzuf hren ist, dass in den letzten Jahrzehnten der Schwerpunkt auf Investitionen in den Stra ensektor gelegt wurde. Die VLI ist ein Vorreiter in der nationalen Eisenbahnszene, hat in den letzten Jahren ihre F hrungsstruktur weiterentwickelt und t tigt regelm ig Investitionen in die Infrastruktur.

A country's economic development is directly related to its investments in infrastructure, more precisely the transportation sector and its various modes that make up the sector's logistics chain. Industrial progress depends on these investments in order to move its products safely, reliably and at the lowest possible cost. The importance of rail transport for Brazil's development is obvious, its main characteristic being its ability to transport large volumes of cargo over medium and long distances, with greater safety and efficiency, when compared mainly to road transport. However, Brazilian rail transport is in a critical situation, perhaps due to the focus on investments in the road sector over the last few decades. VLI is a standout on the national rail scene, has been in the process of developing its governance structure over the last few years and is making recurrent investments in infrastructure.

Lo sviluppo economico di un Paese direttamente correlato agli investimenti in infrastrutture, pi precisamente nel settore dei trasporti e nelle varie modalit che compongono la catena logistica del settore. Il progresso industriale dipende da questi investimenti per spostare i prodotti in modo sicuro, affidabile e al minor costo possibile. L'importanza del trasporto ferroviario per lo sviluppo del Brasile evidente, in quanto la sua caratteristica principale la capacit di trasportare grandi volumi di merci su medie e lunghe distanze, in modo pi sicuro ed efficiente rispetto al trasporto su strada. Tuttavia, il trasporto ferroviario brasiliano si trova in una situazione critica, forse a causa dell'attenzione rivolta negli ultimi decenni agli investimenti nel settore stradale. La VLI una realt di spicco nel panorama ferroviario nazionale, ha sviluppato negli ultimi anni la propria struttura di governance e sta effettuando investimenti ricorrenti nelle infrastrutture.
