The Accolades of Love Poems and Philosophies
These poems and philosophies share my learning in childhood, young adulthood, middle adulthood until know. These poems cover my love experiences, highs, lows. Self-reflection, and my search for my creator. Some of these poems are the answers to some of the questions I had for our creator. He always gave me the answers I was looking for in some lesson in one form or another. Knowledge is power so I want to share the power of knowledge that you might be enlighten too. This journey started as I started reading the bible so may parables and fables told about religious people. The wiser of them was Jesus. Then the next motivating phase was when I was introduced to Bruce lee and the Chinese culture. Very smart writing philosophies and sharing his experience in writing. My last phase was music I listen to love songs on the radio from several musical categories. I have written poems for the last 49 years they go from simple poems to more advanced

Our book, Bending the Curve provides the practitioner, and the leader, a roadmap to success. Our implementation method has been thoroughly tested. Thus, achieving your outcomes is a good bet. This book is applicable to, federal, state, and local governments, service sector entities such as law firms, businesses, small and/or large, independent of their products and/or outcomes. It is rare that you get the level of detail that we share. As well, you will get more than a sense of what it likely costs and an estimation of what you should expect is outcomes. Although we had a "burning platform" (we would have had to lay-off employees.... a bad practice if you want to maintain the loyalty of your workforce). It is not a requirement to have a burning platform. We argue that you already have a burning platform. That is, if you are a government, the citizenry is and has been dissatisfied with your performance; you cost too much, you are too slow in delivering product/service and/or the form and function of what to deliver is often not what your customer (yes, your customer ) desires. If you are in a private institution, a practice or a business, your invisible "burning platform" is the same as above, and, your competitor is reading this book and is (or will be) 'readying ' her or himself to put you out of "business". We wish you happy reading. We are convinced that you will be more then pleased with your outcomes. THANKS

Are You Flourishing Or Languishing? Have you ever met someone that seems to have the "golden touch"? Or, have you ever met someone that you love to be around because they just make you feel good about things? Maybe it was someone in your family or someone you work with. This person also probably had a wide ranging social circle and is "thought well of" by almost everyone this person encounters. Also, did you notice that this person does well at work, enjoys being at work and never seems to take any sick days because there is never a need to? This person seems to be in an "upward life spiral" and their success just keeps piling on. What are they doing right? Well, it could be they are in a zone called "flourish" by psychologists and social scientists. A few years ago researchers decided to start studying not only what causes mental illness but why the mentally healthy have such a wide variance in their ability to cope and thrive in life. They found some very interesting results. It turns out that mental health is not as simple as "not being mentally ill". Just because someone is not pathologically mentally ill does not mean they are psychologically thriving. They could be in the psychological stage of "languishing" and just kind of "spinning their wheels" rather than gaining life skills and adding to their "repertoire" of effective learned behaviors. Research also indicates that only about 18 percent of us are "flourishing" in our life. Well, what is the psychological state of "flourishing" and how do you get it? For some answers, keep reading

Are You Doomed Before You Even Get Started? Have you ever heard the adage: "Success is all in your mind"? Most people believe that success in whatever one attempts to do is determined by how well a person plans, then how well he or she prepares to implement the plan and finally how well the plan is carried out with highly focused actions during each step of implementing the plan. Not too many people argue with this "theory of success". However, have you ever noticed that two people with the same level of preparedness and well made plans can have totally different results after attempting to put their plans into action? This is the case many times even when the two appear to be equally "qualified" to achieve the desired result. The two can have nearly identical qualifications in terms of education, experience and even so called talent yet one succeeds and one fails. You see this happen over and over in life no matter whether you are talking about successful careers, sports, educational endeavors or relationships. There are winners and there are losers in all walks of life and in all that we attempt to achieve. Is it what you are thinking each day, each week, each year that makes the real difference?

George Grant (1918-88) has often been called Canada's greatest political philosopher and his work continues to influence the country's political, social, and cultural discourse and institutions. The fourth and final volume of the Collected Works of George Grant contains his writings from the last period of his life and includes unpublished material such as lectures, interviews, and excerpts from his notebooks. With comprehensive annotations for his articles, reviews, and the three books he published during this period - Time as History, English-Speaking Justice, and Technology and Justice - the volume also contains his writings on Nietzsche, Heidegger Simone Weil, and Céline that were central to this phase of his thought. Volume 4 reveals his engagement with technology and the nature of technological society that is as insightful today as during Grant's lifetime and is lasting proof of his legacy. Arthur Davis is Associate Professor in the School of Social Sciences, Atkinson Faculty of Liberal and Professional Studies, York University. During the 1950's, he studied undergraduate philosophy with George Grant.

George Grant (1918-1988) has been called Canada's greatest political philosopher. During his lifetime, he encouraged Canadians to think more deeply about matters of social justice and individual responsibility, writing on subjects as diverse as war, technology, abortion, and Canadian politics. His work continues to this day to stimulate, challenge, and inspire. Grant's legacy includes six books, more than two hundred articles, as well as broadcast transcripts, correspondence, and unpublished material. In this, the third volume of the Collected Works of George Grant, editors Arthur Davis and Henry Roper have gathered together Grant's work from the 1960s, when he was a professor at Hamilton, Ontario's McMaster University. This is the era when Grant produced his best-known works including Lament for a Nation (1965) and Technology and Empire (1969), both of which are included in this volume. The 1960s also allowed Grant to comment on some of the massive cultural shifts that were taking place at the time and on major events like the war in Vietnam. As with the previous volumes in the Collected Works, the text is fully annotated and includes an introduction to the period it covers. The series as a whole strives to make evident the pattern of Grant's thought, but also invites a reconsideration of the nature and significance of his work. His collected writings are a valuable contribution to Canadian political thought and intellectual history.
