Pero a la misma vez, Jes s hace una maravillosa y celestial descripci n del verdadero pastor, de la verdadera puerta y del verdadero redil. Este es uno de los cap tulos m s hermosos de toda la Biblia, en el cual se resalta el car cter tierno, compasivo y misericordioso de Jes s; quien pastorea a las ovejas del verdadero Israel, y es el modelo para todo pastor y ministro del evangelio. Con esta introducci n en mente vamos a abordar con entusiasmo y compromiso el estudio de este hermoso cap tulo, esperando que la gracia del Se or nos llene de verdadero consuelo al saber que nuestro pastor es Jes s, que el cuidado de nuestras almas est en las manos del Pastor celestial. las ovejas le pertenecen al Padre, el Padre se las ha dado como un don al Hijo, de manera que son un preciado regalo por el cual el Hijo estuvo dispuesto a dar su vida; en consecuencia, no s lo el Hijo se ha comprometido a salvar y guardar para siempre a las ovejas dadas por el Padre en el decreto de predestinaci n, sino que el mismo Padre se ha comprometido a guardarlas. Es una doble seguridad divina. Muchos acuden a algunos pocos pasajes para llegar a la conclusi n de que Jes s no est diciendo lo que est diciendo, es decir, que sus ovejas tienen, desde ya y para siempre, vida eterna, y que est n seguros, para siempre, en sus poderosas manos. Algunos prefieren pensar que la salvaci n del creyente es algo ambiguo, d bil y dependiente de la fidelidad y capacidad del creyente para mantenerse aferrados a las manos del Maestro. Pero este, as como una abundancia de pasajes, son claros en afirmar que la fidelidad del creyente, aunque requiere del ejercicio de su responsabilidad, en ltimas est garantizada por el fiel Pastor. La salvaci n es de nuestro Dios, por eso nadie que ha sido salvo se podr perder jam s.

Desde el verso 19 hasta el 47 Jes s da uno de los discursos m s profundos e insondables respecto a su divinidad e igualdad con Dios el Padre. Como prueba de esto dir que los dos tienen la misma voluntad, hay un amor eterno entre ellos, tanto el Padre como el Hijo resucitan a los muertos, los dos son dignos de la misma honra, la vida eterna les es dada a los que creen en Cristo y en el Padre. En estos versos Jes s "1) Asevera su propia autoridad divina, su nombramiento, su dignidad e igualdad con Dios su Padre. 2) Presenta la evidencia del nombramiento divino que los jud os deb an considerar y recibir. 3) Finalmente, dice claramente a los jud os cu l es el motivo de su incredulidad y carga sobre sus conciencias su amor al reconocimiento humano por encima del de Dios y su incoherencia al pretender honrar a Mois s mientras que no honraban a Cristo. Es un serm n de profundidad y majestad casi incomparables" . Si hay un pasaje que m s debe humillar nuestro orgullo es ste, pues, a pesar de la sencillez de las palabras de Cristo, no alcanzamos a ara ar siquiera el misterio de la Sant sima Trinidad, la uni n inseparable de la substancia divina, y a la vez, las diferentes personas que la conforman. B stenos con caer postrados ante la majestad Divina de Cristo ador ndolo como Dios encarnado, sin pretender tener el conocimiento completo de este gran misterio de la fe cristiana. "No encontramos a nuestro Se or en ninguna otra parte de los Evangelios haciendo una declaraci n tan formal, sistem tica y ordenada de su propia unidad con el Padre, su nombramiento divino y su autoridad y las pruebas de su mesiazgo como la que encontramos en este serm n. Creo que es una de las cosas m s profundas de la Biblia" . Las declaraciones de este cap tulo son la base del trabajo que hace Jes s, solo por lo que l dice aqu que es, es que "puede dar el nuevo nacimiento y el agua de vida, que eran los temas de los discursos anteriores. Adem s, las declaraciones que har m s adelante - que es el pan vivo, el Buen Pastor, etc. - descansan en la verdad que aqu ense a" . Por lo tanto, en estos pasajes veremos la identidad Divina de Jes s. Este serm n de Cristo se encuentra dividido en cuatro partes fundamentales. 1. Testimoniada por la Unidad en voluntad y obra con el Padre (v. 19-23) 2. Testimoniada por la capacidad de dar vida a los muertos y hacer juicio (v. 24-30) 3. Testimoniada por el Padre (v. 31-36) 4. Testimoniada por las Escrituras (v. 37-47)

La fe que se presenta en Hebreos es la fe perseverante, la fe que se mantiene inc lume en Cristo a pesar de todas las adversidades que esto trae. La Ep stola a los Hebreos es un llamado a la perseverancia en la fe, a no apostatar, a no claudicar. Esperamos que este libro sea de gran bendici n, no s lo para todas las mujeres, sino para los pastores y siervos del Se or en su prop sito de alcanzarlas para el Evangelio.

El nuevo nacimiento no es algo que los hombres puedan producir. Esto se deja ver en que Cristo le llama "nacer de arriba", o "volver a nacer". "Nadie es autor de su propia existencia y nadie puede avivar su propia alma. Esperar que el hombre natural se vuelva por s mismo espiritual es como esperar que un muerto se proporcione vida a s mismo. Es necesario que se ejerza un poder de lo alto, el mismo poder que cre el mundo (cf. 2 Cor. 4:6). El hombre puede hacer muchas cosas; pero no conferirse vida a s mismo ni d rsela a otros. Dar vida es una prerrogativa espec fica de Dios. Bien puede declarar nuestro Se or que necesitamos "nacer de nuevo"
