Minor millet are small seeded cereal crop belongs to poaceae family. Separation of grains from ears and to be exact from the enclosing husk can be achieved by striking the ears or by squeezing. In either case ears are deposited on hard surface. In mechanical separation in threshing both these factors are applied. The traditional method of millet threshing causes seed damage, labour intensive and energy intensive.
