Brevet Major General August V. Kautz published a newspaper article in 1887 describing his experiences, while a colonel serving under Brigadier General Edward Hobson, pursuing Brigadier General John Hunt Morgan during General Morgan's July 1863 Indiana-Ohio Raid. We will be reading a copy of the newspaper article and also be reading a copy of the official report of his participation in pursuing General Morgan that Colonel Kautz filed August 11, 1863.
