Neuropsychological Consequences of COVID-19 focuses on Anjana’s journey as a COVID survivor following a brain injury that left her with a very rare neuropsychological syndrome called Balint’s syndrome, a disorder associated with difficulties in visual and spatial coordination. It is also the first book of its kind to provide a first-hand account from India on surviving brain injury, from diagnosis, recovery and rehabilitation, providing the therapeutic milieu in the Indian context and exploring cultural influences on rehabilitation. Written jointly by Anjana, her neuropsychologist and the international experts in the field of neuropsychology who were also involved in her diagnosis and care, the book highlights how COVID-19, a virus primarily affecting the respiratory system, can also result in a disabling brain injury. It describes Anjana’s recovery and the rehabilitation she received and provides a deeper understanding of this experience of a very rare condition through the views of Anjana herself. In addition, Anjana’s rehabilitation journey stumbles upon many important themes of rehabilitation including cultural sensitivity, personal identity, resilience, role of family and rehabilitation in a low to middle income country. This book is valuable reading for clinical and neuropsychologists, neurologists, other rehabilitation therapists including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses and social work professionals, particularly those interested in cross cultural rehabilitation. It will also be of interest to students in these fields.

Businesses that put more emphasis on the value they deliver to clients than the price they offer are allowed to charge almost whatever amount they choose. In Pricing for Profit, business owners may discover how to eschew conventional pricing strategies and command a price that reflects their true worth. The ability to put a price on the value of one's goods or services, identify those who buy on the basis of price versus those who buy on the basis of value, package deals to gain an edge over competitors and delight customers, and create an effective value-driven marketing strategy are all skills that readers will gain. The low pricing that small businesses feel forced to offer make it difficult for them to make a profit and also make it more difficult for them to meet the demands of their customers. Anyone looking to increase unit sales, close more deals overall at higher prices, and earn more money with less needless work should read this approachable and useful advice. There are tons of helpful formulas, script samples, detailed explanations, interactive exercises, and more.

STANDING ON HIS PROMISES is a testament of a number of my life experiences and proof that God is a promise keeper. Experiences of Divorce, loss of income, being jailed, and mental breakdown, were mine and how God brought me through each of them. There are several scriptural references of a few of the more than seven thousand promises in His Word that helped in the process of recovery. Examples of journals, affirmations, vision boards and poetry that were therapeutic are included. It is written to encourage and inspire others to share your testimony so that our Almighty God will get the glory that He deserves. Barbara Goings Wilson, a retired award-winning science teacher, taught for 38 years in North and South Carolina. Practically born in church, her mother went into labor at 4:00 AM on SUNDAY which prevented it. Her love of God and all of creation has never allowed a conflict in her career as a teacher of science. It is her belief that theology explains "why?" and science is man's attempt to explain "how?". The conflict in thinking is the ploy of the enemy. She is the very blessed mother of two from her first marriage with two grands and three great-grands. God has also blessed her to live in three of His beautiful biomes: The temperate deciduous forest of the Carolinas, tropical ocean in Key West, Florida, the Sonoran Desert in Tucson, Arizona. Barbara and her husband, Carl live in beautiful Savannah, Georgia.

Cassandra Reilly, an Irish-American translator and amateur sleuth, shares a flat in London with her long-time friend, retired bassoonist Nicky Gibbons. Their lives are disrupted when Cassandra attends a lecture on the beguines, laywomen who lived in sisterhood in thirteenth-century Belgium. The beguines were the subject of a popular historical mystery series by Stella Terwicker who died ten years before, but whose literary estate is still creating problems for those who knew her, including her biographer. Cassandra is soon pulled into investigating a possibly suspicious death, a task that takes her from the Ladies' Pond in London's Hampstead Heath to the medieval city of Bruges to the seacoast of Devon. With Nicky's help, Cassandra must unravel a story of desire, lies, and love that stretches back decades to decades to the rabble-rousing years of queer liberation and feminist publishing. Sixth in the Cassandra Reilly Mysteries series by Lambda-award-winning author Barbara Wilson. Ms. Wilson's lesbian globe-trotter has a restless nature, a facility for languages, and a lively curiosity about foreign cultures. Toss in her offbeat sense of humor and you've got a terrific road pal." --The New York Times

Join traveling translator Cassandra Reilly as she solves a new mystery in Lambda Literary Award winner Barbara Wilson's series about the London-based, Irish-American sleuth with "a mind like a steel trap, a literate, uplifting voice, and a wicked sense of humor" (Library Journal). In Not the Real Jupiter Cassandra is translating two manuscripts from Spanish. One of them is a collection of stories of speculative fiction by her old friend, the Uruguayan writer Luisa Montiflores. When editorial complications threaten its publication by an independent press in Portland, Cassandra travels from Luisa's apartment in Montevideo to the coast of Oregon to meet the publisher and sort things out. Only to find that those complications now include a body that fell-or was pushed-over the side of a bluff. Under suspicion herself and ordered not to leave the country, Cassandra heads to Portland to do her own investigation. Here she encounters Latina writers, a well-known children's author, and an attractive librarian in her quest to solve the mystery and get back home to London. Not yet retired-and still game for almost anything-Cassandra finds the trail is more tangled and fraught with family secrets than she ever imagined. By the author of Gaudi Afternoon and The Case of the Orphaned Bassoonists.

Do You See Them? There Are Angels Everywhere is the memoir of a Christian's journey through life as she learned to accept and embrace the miracles that prepared her for tragedy and ultimately inner peace.

Barbara Brown Wilson looks at community engagement methods that are less conventional, but often more effective than traditional approaches to make communities more resilient. She takes an in-depth look at what equitable, positive change through community-driven design looks like in four communities—East Biloxi, Mississippi; the Lower East Side of Manhattan; the Denby neighborhood in Detroit, Michigan; and the Cully neighborhood in Portland, Oregon. These vulnerable communities have prevailed in spite of serious urban stressors such as climate change, gentrification, and disinvestment. Wilson looks at how the lessons in the case studies and other examples might more broadly inform future practice. She shows how community-driven design projects in underserved neighborhoods can not only change the built world, but also provide opportunities for residents to build their own capacities.
