The book contains works written in the last period of the author's life. These twelve essays are philosophical and culturological reflections set forth in a free, poetic manner. Despite the thematic diversity, they form a single whole -- an uncompromising and fearless questioning about the world and about oneself. And about oneself in the world.

It presents a new framework for planning, evaluating, and managing refugee crises in urban settings, both in the Syrian refugee crisis as well as other such situations going forward.
