THE CHESS PLAYS: FISH... MEN and KING WITHOUT A CASTLE by C ndido Tirado. About the two plays in this collection: With biting humor and unexpected pathos, FISH MEN Men focuses on a group of unforgettable characters, drawn together by a shared need to overcome their individual demons. KING WITHOUT A CASTLE is an Absurd, Greek Dramaesque play where a young man battles the ghost of his father and the two women who love him: one is his mother, the other his wife. The resolution of this conflict brings about startling consequences. These two plays are a welcome addition to the growing and thrilling body of performance literature by US Latine playwrights.
