S. A. Laird Book Collection Volume 2 THE VOICE OF REASON All of my life I have been the person people want answers from. It started when I was very young and continues to this day. Many people ask me how to solve their problems from their jobs, relationships, pets, parents and even which tea or coffee to buy at the grocery. I seem to always have an answer ready for them no matter what they ask me. I usually give them the answer that comes from my heart or my past experience. They are usually strangers who ask for help but not always. Sometimes I help friends or family members with their problems. This is a general listing of people I have helped over the years. Why I helped them and how I helped resolve their problems. I hope that you will enjoy reading about the people I have helped over my lifetime. If the people I give advice to don't like what I tell them to do I never argue with them and try to tell them how to live their life. It is ultimately their decision what to do. This book is about my life written as fiction and how people seem to gravitate towards me for comfort and advice. I have been told these people are attracted to my spirit. God is with me in spirit every day in my heart. He has given me the strength to write these books and I know that he approves or they wouldn't have gotten published at this time in my life. TIME FALLS INTO YEARS It is the story of Corey Carlisle who as a young woman marries a banker and rebuilds her Grand-father's horse farm, notwithstanding a serious drinking problem which she attempts to disguise with varying degrees of success. The narrative follows Corey's life with her family through good times and bad as she trains horses, seeks to get a divorce, fights for custody of her son and ultimately becomes, almost by accident, a consultant for the FBI with respect to crimes involving horses. When she kills a violent criminal in self-defense her guilt puts her on the path to alcohol-related self-destruction. Corey, by turns is both tough and fragile; struggling to make a life for herself, she ultimately resolves her personal problems and creates a life worth fighting for. She loses herself and her faith for a while. Ultimately she is strong enough to fight for everything in life she feels she deserves. This book is based in part upon my grandfather's experiences in training sulky horses. He was a great trainer back in the thirties and forties and clients trusted him implicitly to train their horses. He was a fascinating character. I am sitting here waiting for the file to save into a pdf with 432 Hz - Ambient Angelic Tones soothing my soul. I remember 20 years ago when my wife kicked me out of our bed... She said to go upstairs and sleep there. This I did not to cause a stir in our ending marriage. Deep in my spirit I knew I was out the door. I had sinned. I asked for forgiveness. I never felt any forgiveness. Still 20 years and I don't feel any forgiveness... From her. Back then all alone in that upstairs bedroom I was listening to Bridge and the one song that Father God used to sooth my soul and tell me that I was forgiven by His Eternal Love was the song, "Who Shall Dwell In My Sanctuary." I will never forget the peace that; over-whelming, soothed my soul. Today, 3 relationships later and with the best woman God could have given me to show me His Love... He has moved me Higher Up and Farther In; as C. S. Lewis wrote, to His Loving Presence in His Service of Prayer. Now, you may ask... Why Pray? It was a delight when I learned to fly. When I was a boy, I can remember looking up into the sky when a plane or helicopter would fly overhead. I can remember when one day I was with my Dad, we had gone to a vacant lot in the town where we lived and there we waited for a few minutes until a helicopter landed and a friend of my Dad got off and came to our car. I was just amazed how smoothly and effortlessly the helicopter landed and then took off. When I was in the United States Army Aviation School, we were assigned to an Instructor Pilot, who introduced us to our Helicopter or Airplane. The Instructor Pilot first took us out on a normal flight to demonstrate the smooth operation of our aircraft. While doing so... He was showing us that he knew what he was doing and that he could be trusted. He was also showing us that our aircraft was safe and could be trusted. All this was done in order to create a bonding experience. As we read JESUS PRAYER TEAM, we will see that not only did Jesus tell us to pray... He also showed us we could trust Him... And, we can trust our Prayers We can bond with Him Jesus said, I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7 I truly believe God called me when I was eight years old. As I continued to grow, I went to Church and Sunday school. I learned about prayer and surely as a young lad... I prayed I later asked Jesus to save me in 1970 during the Vietnam War. Then in 1978... I attended a school that changed my life in regards to my prayer life. They gave us a plan to follow so we could give sixty minutes a day to prayer. I used this plan for I cannot remember how long. You will see that the plan they gave us is still; to this day, in the front of my Holy Bible. We used it even to teach to those in our Sunday School Class... I wonder how many use it today? It says, There's no weapon half so mighty as the intercessors bear, Nor a broader field of service than the ministry of prayer. My Commitment... Date was on my birthday... September 26, 1978. One was a believer, the other was not. Day by day; as they work together, the one man would mention something about Jesus or about church or about family life and how it was to live a Christian life. Sometimes there would be disagreements about the things that were shared, other times there would be agreements about how things should be in a family of Christians. This work arrangement went on for quite a while. As the question got asked, "Do you want to accept Jesus as your Savior?" The answer was, "No." As was said, this went on for quite a while. One day at about 3 AM in the morning, there came a knock on the door of the believer. When opening the door, he saw the nonbeliever that he had been working with for quite a while, several years, as a matter of fact. When asked what he was doing there at 3 AM in the morning, the nonbeliever said, "I come to get saved." As the two of them set down on the sofa to discuss what the Bible says about salvation and asking Jesus to be your Savior the nonbeliever prayed to receive Jesus as his savior. Amen. Hallelujah. This testimony shows that persistence, persistence, persistence will indeed pay off. It may take many days, it may take many years, but God will answer prayer and people do get saved. Amen. Hallelujah. This testimonies is true because we lived it... And we give the Glory to God Amen. Hallelujah Remember... "Don't Be A Doubter," He will help YOU BE... Life gets better and better... I know my God is real The old song goes, "He walks with me and He talked with me and He tells me I am His own and the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known." It is a personal God we serve and He treats each of us, as if we were His only consideration. The closer the walk, the more beautiful His creature becomes and the lovelier He becomes. You say, "Looking at the cross is not beautiful " No, it is not, but He chose to go to that cross for each one of us, so we might go to Heaven. Heaven is beautiful The Book of Revelation describes Heaven. The only way to Heaven is through the cross. There is no other way. In spite of all other religions' out there, there is no other way, none. Jesus is the only God who is still alive. All the other gods are not alive today. The Bible says, "Put no other gods before you " He is no respecter of person's. What He has done for me or others, He will do for you. If you were the only person on earth He would have died for you. He is no respecter of persons. Jesus died so mankind would be able to go to Heaven. Hell, is real too The Bible is full of that fact. He tells us in His Word that, it is a place where the worm dies not, it is a place of eternal fire. It is a place of eternal separation from Him and your family and friends. You are quite alone forever and ever. That's a long time. Life is short here on Earth. Don't put off asking the Lord for forgiveness of your sins. We have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. None are righteous, no not one. His death opened the door to Heaven for us. His Word says, "Knock and it shall be opened, seek and you shall find." Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Matthew 7:7-11 The more you seek Him the more real He will become to you. My prayer is that He will come into your heart today and become your Heavenly Father. This is the year of the redeemed. We need to allow Him to come into our land and we shall be redeemed. Break up the fallow ground. This is His permission to seek His face and go into that area of our life we have never given to God before. What is fallow ground? This is the story of my life. I write this only with the thought of passing it on to my fellow man, to help them as I have been helped; and to lift up and glorify my Dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I promise you... If you will read this complete testimony... Your life will be changed forever I was born and raised in a Brethren home, which I am very grateful for in many ways. I had a normal childhood, was taught right from wrong, and went to Church on Sunday as best as I can remember, which is a tradition of the Church. Then one day: I Lost My Lure I will here borrow another mans vision, as an illustration to explain my loss I found myself in a large, very deep body of water. The water was crystal clear and a perfect temperature. Simply being in the water was one of the most pleasurable sensations I have ever had. However, without realizing it, I was being drawn deeper and deeper into the water until the surface could barely be seen. Yet, the bottom was undetectable. At this point a certain reverential awe and fearfulness began to emerge in me. As Scriptures point out, the Lord dwells in deep darkness. In this place, one is completely vulnerable and at the mercy of God. It was both exhilarating and terrifying. It is a place where a human meets with God without pretense or disguise. I remained at that depth for a few contemplative moments until I felt the need to return to the surface. I was not out of breath though, for it was as natural to breathe in this water, as it is to breathe in a cool breeze along the shore of the Gulf of Mexico. As I began to make my way back toward the surface, I was drawn to an underwater rock ledge. There I discovered a fishing lure resting in one of the crevices. I could tell it had once been a very productive lure, but the line had been broken, and the lure had been lost. This lure represented an evangelistic mantle that had been worn with considerable success; it had drawn many sinners to Christ and the Kingdom of Heaven. Unfortunately, the carrier of the anointing had been ensnared in a trap of the enemy and had lost the "lure." I contemplated seizing the lure and taking it back, but I was forbidden by the Holy Spirit to touch it. Instead, I was instructed to return to the surface and bring a man back to the location of the lure; only he could retrieve and restore it. Later I was told the lure specifically represented a powerful evangelistic mantle worn previously by someone else. Unfortunately, the lure, or mantle, had been lost when the line had been broken, severing the flow of grace essential for that commission. The Lord was now preparing to recapture it. That gift would rest upon someone-or a company of people-who have discovered God in deep darkness. He is grooming their character and nature. The enemy thought the anointing had been lost forever in the depth of the water. However, the Lord caused it to rest upon a ledge so it could be reassigned. This symbolic lure is representative of the mantles of evangelism that have been stolen by the evil one and held in heavenly places until they could be restored. When I was about seven or eight years old, I heard the word, "SIN." Do not get me wrong, I surely heard it in Sunday School and Church, but this time was different. Let me explain. My friend Billy and I were out back of the barn in the barnyard. We had climbed over the fence into the neighboring field and again crossed into the next neighboring field where there was a chicken coop with turbine vents on top and windows all along the south side. My mother and grandmother had always warned me about the devil's devices. Nevertheless, the lure of sin can overrule in ones heart. This being Christmas Day 2012 we heard a marvelous testimony and during the testimony... Jesus said, "Charles, Build me a book about what is happening in your life today. Let your testimony shine for the world to see what I your Lord has done with a man that many have forsaken. I Love You Charles... Continue to serve Me " All I could say was, "Thank You Lord Jesus... I am Yours Forever Amen Hallelujah " The dictionary says the word marvelous means... Causing great wonder, a surprise, extraordinary, improbable, incredible, excellent or splendid. Well, that's what this book is all about. These last 3 years have been all the above. In trying to figure out what Father God would do from day to day in my life next has been a total surprise We will try to use The Book Of Ephesians to explain what Jesus is doing in our life and ministry as servants of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the Saints which are in our ministry, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: we say... Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ... We love you all Our spiritual blessings have been so many that we have lost track of them all. We have had over 57 dreams that we have documented and will probably put into a new book. In 2009 we published a book called Dreams From God. In this book, all the dreams have come to pass except the last dream, which is a work in progress. You the reader of this book are a part of that finial dream We have had attacks many from the evil one but we know we have the victory in Jesus Our Savior and Deliverer. All our authors have had attacks and have had the victory in Jesus as well. We all are learning that In The Name Of Jesus Of Nazareth... We can rise about the devil, all unclean spirits and all evil spirits that try to stop what God is doing in us personally and as ministers of The Gospel Of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior Amen When we were saved or born again by asking Jesus to be our Savior and Lord, we were delivered out of our sins of the past that were so easily besetting us or continually drawing us to sin again. The battle of the flesh is a constant evil force that tries to overcome us. We have only to trust Jesus to keep us pure before God's Heavenly throne. This we cannot do our selves. We must trust Jesus to daily keep us pure. But we must do our part to say NO This last 3 years we have learned to pray as never before. We have learned the importance of prayer is greater than we had ever imagined before. We have seen answers to prayer as never before. God Loves us so much that He is so concerned with how we live and how we respond to others... Especially when they hurt us or do unto us as should not be. We know we are to pray for others Would you believe that a simple prayer, "Lord Jesus, Let us get snowed in so we don't have to go out into the world of PROBLEMS and TRIALS" would actually be answered? Not only once... But twice in one week Amen Hallelujah Thank You Lord Jesus We know that we are one body, and one Spirit, even as we are called in one hope of our calling. We continue to publish Christian books to help other Christians to put their testimony into print, on kindle and other electronic readers. As for longsuffering... We have been alone for almost 3 years now and we have seen every wind of doctrine that other devils are trying to tell people as if it were truth. NO... We are to speak Truth In Love, for Truth Is In Jesus only. We have learned to put on the New Man, which after God we are created in Righteousness and True Holiness. We are not to give place to the devil, evil spirits or unclean spirits, but cast them out without even talking to them. The Holy Bible says, we are not to grieve the Holy Spirit of God, whereby we are sealed unto the day of redemption. We must forgive them and one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven us We are to be followers of God, as His Dear Children. Amen Hallelu

Dearly Beloved, We are gathered here in the presence of God to join together, this Man And this Woman In Holy Marriage... We find that marriage is instituted of God; that it is regulated by His Commandments; that it is blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ; and that it is to be held in honor among all men. Let us therefore reverently remember that God has established and sanctified marriage for the welfare and happiness of mankind when He, Jesus said, ... Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Matthew 19:4-6 This marriage service leaves us looking out along a road that leads on to endless joy. There will be hardships along that road, and disappointments. To travel it will require strong disciplines and intelligently worked out ways. Much that is ahead is uncertain, but some things can be depended on as absolutely sure. And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 This bride and groom can set forth with high hearts because they have faith in each other, which is founded on their faith in God. They can face the future full of hope because they know what will bring their marriage its daily comforts and ultimate success. Side by side they can start down across the years held to each other by a love whose source is the heart of God. Into this Holy Estate, this Man and this Woman... You come now to be joined and thus to unite two hearts and lives, blending all interests, sympathies and hopes. We recall the words of Ruth when she said, ...whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God Ruth 1:16 I charge you both, as you stand in the presence of God, to remember that true love and loyalty alone will avail as the foundation of a happy home. If the solemn vows you are about to make be kept inviolate, and if you steadfastly endeavor to do the will of your Heavenly Father, your lives will be full of joy, and the home you are about to establish will abide in peace. No more human ties are more tender, and no other vows are more sacred than those you are about to assume. Sir... We come before you at the altar of love, pledging our lives and our hearts to one another. Grant that we may be ever true and loving, as living together in such a way as to never bring shame or heartbreak into our marriage. Temper our hearts with kindness and understanding and rid them of all pretense or jealousy. Help us to be sweetheart, helpmate, friend and guide, and together, may we meet the cares and problems of life more bravely. And as time takes away our youthful charm, may we find contentment in the greater joy of rich companionship. May our home truly be a place of love and harmony where your Holy Spirit is ever present.
