Kenneth Wayne Mahan, a self made entrepreneur has been a Dukes of Hazzard fan for over 40 years. As a young kid watching Bo and Luke chase through the town of Hazzard he dreamt of owning his own salvage yard. At the age of eighteen, that dream became reality when he purchased land in Tennessee and named his business Mahan Salvage Yard. Years later after meeting, two of the original stars from the tv show, Actor Chris Hensel, who's character was Jeb Stuart Duke, and Actor Byron Cherry (Cousin Coy Duke) business relationships began. Together they have created Salvage Yard "Shine" Boys under Jeb Stuart Productions. Salvage Yard "Shine" Boys is a Patriotic Family Faith-Based film series that tracks a young country western singer's journey to stardom. While Kat is working for her moonshining, but functioning, alcoholic parents and grandfather at the Salvage Yard, she writes music and sings at her church and local talent shows. Kat is a gifted artist, but her greatest gift is the angel who sings words of encouragement and urges her to help bring her bitter (Vietnam Veteran) Grandfather back to the church. However, she gets kidnapped by an old high school bully turned hardened criminal who is seeking revenge against the family. Kat's father and uncle who have been estranged for over 21 years must put their differences aside to bring her home. This edition takes you from the beginning of his life to present day. In 1979 I ran away from my home in New Orleans. I went to California in search of Shaun Cassidy whom I had a major crush on since middle school. I had a one way Greyhound bus ticket with only seven dollars in my pocket. Nothing or no one was going to stop me from pursuing that dream. Two days later, I was homeless in Hollywood. I met a male who told me how to get into the studios to find Shaun. I went to Warner Brothers Studios and was being arrested for trespassing. I recognized the place I'd seen in the television show Wonder Woman and was excited to go near it. A security guard stopped me. I'd never seen the Dukes of Hazzard tv show, I did not know who John Schneider was nor had he met me in the past. He just happened to be on a break. John walked toward us seeing that I was in trouble and told the officer that I was with him. I was scared, I was hungry and a jail cell was the last place I wanted to go. John saved my life that day. He invited me to watch him work, introduced me to the entire cast and at the end of the day invited me to come back anytime. "Just have security call me" he said as I was leaving. I found a job as a live in Nanny for Director Robert Lieberman and went to watch the Dukes film everyday by Johns invite. John and I lost contact after he and Tom left the show. In 2012 I wrote my first book. "My Hero is a Duke..of Hazzard. The Autobiography of a teen runaway in Hollywood". For the reason that I wanted to share my story of how I was treated like family when John Schneider befriended me on the Dukes set. After the controversy about the flag, I have made it my mission to continue the Dukes of Hazzard Legacy. Now 2021, I have written over 20 Editions to honor the show, the cast, the crew, the car that became my first home in Burbank. Dukes fans like Michael Murray helps me to continue that Legacy in this Edition of MY HERO IS A DUKE... OF HAZZARD.

Nathan Robert Miller, age 37 of Rockwood, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 9th, 2021, at the Roane Medical Center in Harriman, TN. He was born on August 31st, 1983, in Rockwood, Tennessee. He loved his family and his children. He also loved the Dukes of Hazzard and had a lot of friends in the Hazzard Life community. He loved the moonshiners and also his car collection. He is preceded in death by his father: Robert Eugene Miller; Grandparents: Morgan and Lena Miller, James and Bobbie Washam; and uncles: Garry Ted Miller and Bobby Patrick Sr. He is survived by: Wife: Lisa Miller Children: Garry Thomas "GT" Miller, Mavis Ann Miller, Kelly Lynn Miller, Elizabeth "Izzy" Husband, Nelly Noel Husband, Hayley Marie Potter, Chris "The Boy" Potter, and Amber Nicole Potter. Grandchildren: Cole Matthew Potter, Destiny Ann Walker, and Jacob Allen Wolfe Mother: Frieda June Miller Brother: Robert Miller Jr Best Friends: Cherill Williams, Kenneth Mahan, Richard Bullard, Scott Clark, Tom Ward, William "Bill" Waters Aunts: Donna Reynolds and Eva Patrick Uncles: Jim Washam (Lisa), and Richard Miller (Geneva) As of July 14, 2021. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Nathan Robert Miller. He will be sadly missed.
