In this compendium of English lessons for trainee teachers, the authors provide updated information on lesson planning, drawing from their experiences and insights. Recognizing that many trainees lack experience and may struggle with lesson planning and motivation, they introduce a structured approach using the Presentation, Practice, and Production method alongside communicative language teaching. The organization of activities is clearly explained, making it easier for teachers to implement in the teaching-learning process effectively. The emphasis on cultural, sociocultural, and contextual awareness is crucial to their approach. The compendium offers a variety of exercises, including some complex structures, which are valuable for aspiring teachers and can serve as a resource for professional development. The lessons are based on seventh and eighth-grade curricula, presenting practical and creative ways to teach communicative functions outlined in Junior High School syllabi in the Cuban context, highlighting important considerations for teacher educators and trainees regarding content delivery, aims, and planning, all aimed at enhancing a didactic coherence in teachers-to-be.
