This book focuses on cultural policy in the UK between 1997 and 2010 under the Labour party (or 'New Labour', as it was temporarily rebranded). It is based on interviews with major figures and examines a range of policy areas including the arts, creative industries, copyright, film policy, heritage, urban regeneration and regional policy.

This publication aims to assist countries in understanding the specific challenges and opportunities posed by climate change in the agricultural sector in order to increase climate resilience and adapt to climate change. The report presents local-level priorities, informed by stakeholder input, to build agricultural resilience in both countries. The objectives of this study are threefold: 1. To improve the understanding of climate change projections and impacts on rural communities and livelihoods in selected regions of Jordan and Lebanon, specifically the Jordan River Valley and Lebanon's Bekaa Valley.2. To engage local communities, farmers, local experts, and local and national government representatives in a participatory fashion in helping craft agricultural adaptation options to climate change. 3. To develop local and regional climate change action plans that formulate recommendations for investment strategies and strategic interventions in local agricultural systems. Therefore, this publication may serve as the analytical underpinning for ongoing discussions taking place within the governments, including the Ministries of Agriculture and Environment, on how to best move forward in building agricultural resilience to climate change.

Pornographic Fruitcake Love Story is a comedy based upon a simple, time-tried, rather universal theme - the absurdity of a lover's efforts to please the beloved. A work of light humor, it consists mainly of a writer's bumbling efforts to produce a money making "filthy story" in order to impress a woman who claims to have no faith in men. The story enjoys the liberty of a highly malleable structure, which remains integral throughout the book despite apparent convolutions. The language, plain and unadorned, is consistent with the atmosphere of this distinctly satirical farce and with the character of the aspiring author, who appears in occasional 'Personal Interludes' between some of the chapters. This character is not really autobiographical, though he pretends to be, and this is not the story of my life. Pornographic Fruitcake is very much itself and is aimed at laughter, not at making a fine impression upon the academic mind.

While continuing to support a unified British Empire acting as a progressive force in world affairs, Bruce championed stronger international collaboration through the League of Nations and the United Nations and through cooperation between the Empire and the United States.
