These attractive educational books address students' questions in areas ranging from health and well-being to responsibility. Human Papillomavirus, or HPV, is a sexually transmitted disease that few teens have heard about or understand. Carter examines the history of warts and HPV and carefully describes who is at risk, what symptoms to watch out for, and how to prevent the spread of this highly contagious disease. HPV has reached near epidemic proportions in the United States and Canada, affecting many young people who may not be aware of its symptoms. Carter concludes the book by describing other diseases that HPV has been shown to increase, such as cervical cancers in women and anal cancers in men.

This volume provides us with the first detailed view of the functioning of the Middle Elamite Empire outside Susiana. The excavation encompassed a segment of a larger building that must have served as a focus for the servants of the Elamite state in Anshan. Even though the function of the excavated area changed over time-from monumental building (level IV), to ceramic production area (level IIIB), to domestic structure (level IIIA)-the strong cultural ties to the lowlands continued until level IIIA was abandoned.
