Gary obtained a BS in Biology from Baylor University and then moved to Houston where he met and married Barbara Kuhn. He worked for the next 43 years adjusting/auditing/investigating life, health, and disability claims for insurance companies. He has been an active church member throughout his life. In 1997, Gary and Barbara moved from Houston to League City, TX, where they have been attending Clear Creek Community Church and where Gary became addicted to pickleball.
