Verbs are 75% of any language. "Second Level French Verb Exercises" teaches the rules and English meanings for regular verbs in three tenses in French. All required information is on the page for the student to locate and use. It is set up in such a way that the student should be able to get each exercise 100% correct. It teaches the student to search the page (NO TRICKS ) and apply the rules. All pages are set up the same way. The necessary grammar hints and vocabulary are on the front and back of each page. The book contains a vocab list in the middle and answer pages (co-related with the translation pages). Learning the regular verbs is useful because the irregular verbs follow a lot of the same rules.

"No Smart Answers" portrays classroom situations that every teacher experiences, and some solutions that many teachers have used or dreamed of using.

"Behind the Teacher's Desk" by Chris Williams is the first book I've read from this author, and it was fantastic. Right away it felt different than the normal kind of book I read---- In fact, I'd have kind of a hard time categorizing it exactly as there are so many elements involved. I have never read another book where the heroine was a teacher-at least not where her work was any sort of focus, and I must say I liked it. I think it's so easy to take for granted what teachers do day in and day out. This novel shows us just what a jungle it can be, from out of control and even violent kids, crazy colleagues, and heartbreaking realities of her students' lives. Throw in some romance drama of her own and it's a wild ride from start to finish I loved reading it and will definitely be reading more from Chris Williams. (5 stars)
