In Europe, the RAF attacked German battleship TIRPITZ in Norway, and we see the effects of the Battle of the Bulge (aka the German Ardennes Offensive). Most naval activity is between the US and Imperial Japanese Navies for the Philippines. In China, Burma and India, the US bombed Japan for the first time using B-29s staged throughout China, and the Japanese responded by advancing deeper into China to capture the US airfields. Allied forces drove into Burma, and the Japanese moved troops and resources out of Burma for the defense of Japan. In the Pacific, the Japanese initiated Operation SHO GO, leading to the land battle for Leyte plus the Sea Battles of Palawan Passage, Sibuyan Sea, the Sulu Sea, Surigao Strait, Sumar, and Cape Enga o. The US landing on Mindoro Island forced the Japanese into their last warship sortie in the Philippine Islands and an epic battle with US PT-boats. Japanese kamikaze inflicted losses on the US Seventh Fleet in Lingayen Gulf to begin the epic battle for Luzon.

Gordon Smith is the medium's medium who outstanding gifts are recognised by prominent sceptics and which have been tested in laboratory conditions at Glasgow University, with astonishing results. But usually when we try to assess the claims of psychics and mediums or evidence of supernatural phenomena we are examining events taking place outside the controlled conditions of the scientific laboratory. In this new book Gordon Smith argues that most suitable standards we can apply when trying to decide whether or not it is reasonable to believe such claims are the same standards we usually use to assess disputes in human affairs - the standards of the law court. As a leading medium Gordon Smith is part of an 'apostolic succession' of mediums that goes back through famous mediums like Albert Best, Helen Duncan and DD Hume to the start of Spiritualism modern times in American in the mid nineteenth century. In this book he examines the historical evidence, admitting fraud where he finds it, but showing that great weight of testimony proves the reality of these supernatural and spiritual phenomena 'beyond reasonable doubt'. As leading barrister Maria Ahern writes in her foreword: 'I have assessed the evidence in this book. Just as I would in a trial. There is credible evidence from various unconnected sources all giving evidence that points the same way. The evidence has been collated by a credible source; Gordon Smith is widely acknowledged as a gifted medium and has provided many with evidence of one of life's great unanswered questions'. She advises the reader: 'Look at the evidence, assess it fairly, allow for any sensible and appropriate doubt and reach your verdict'.

In April, May and June 1944, there were three major areas of naval conflict: In New Guinea: United States (US) and Australian forces landed at Aitape and Hollandia, then at Arare, Wakde and Biak Island. In Europe: The battle for the control of the English Channel heated up. The German navy attacked what they thought was an Allied convoy along the English southwestern coast. They had actually stumbled upon Operation TIGER, the Allied training exercise for the upcoming Normandy landing. RAF Bomber Command mined Biscay, Bretagne, La Pallice, Lorient, Brest, Cherbourg, Le Havre, Den Helder, Texel, the Friesian Islands, the German Bay, Kattegat, Kiel, Swinem nde, Gotenhafen, and Pillau. The Allies initiated Operation NEPTUNE to conceal the real Allied landing location from the Germans. All this culminated in the Allied landing in Normandy, France, in Operation OVERLORD. In the Pacific: The US landed on Saipan, considered Japanese territory, in Operation FORAGER, which caused the Battle of the Philippine Sea.

Gordon Smith is well known for giving powerful messages from people's loved ones on the other side. Very often it's not just human friends and family who come through - the animals who have been close to us in life also continue to visit us after death. In this extraordinary book, Gordon recounts some of the remarkable experiences that people have had with animals in the spirit world and in our world. They include moving accounts of dogs who know intuitively when their owners are coming home, pets who saved their owners' lives and animals who have found ways of proving they are still with their families after death. Throughout the book, Gordon shares his own experiences with his springer spaniel 'Cheeky' Charlie, who came into his life unexpectedly, completely overturning it and showing Gordon the beauty of trust, patience and unconditional love. Through these amazing stories, Gordon shows just how deeply animals care for their human families and the profound understanding they have of the world around them. Published in the year 1990, Understanding Party System Change in Western Europe is a valuable contribution to the field of Politics.
Widely recognized as Britain's top medium, Gordon Smith here answers the deeper questions that people ask of the spirit world, the big questions of life and death. For most of the time people go to Gordon Smith's public events in the hope of hearing messages from loved ones who have passed. The information that Gordon is able to share is world-renowned for its astonishing accuracy and detail - information that he could not possibly have discovered by any other means. This information reunites people with their loved ones and gives them comfort and solace. But sometimes we all want to know the answers to questions that go beyond the narrowly personal, questions that are equally relevant to all human beings:What happens to us after death? Is there a Heaven and a Hell? Why do bad things happen more to some people than to others? To what extent are our lives predestined? Do we reincarnate? Are spirit guides a type of angel? In order to answer these questions and penetrate the deeper mysteries of the human condition, Gordon Smith has here gone into a very deep trance to consult his own spirit guide. The answers he has brought back will amaze, illuminate and inspire.

An ancient Northumbrian sea port town located on England’s north-east coast, Blyth has been a thriving port since medieval times. Thanks to recent regenerations and redevelopment, the town has overcome the effects of declining industry in the recent past. The views in this book allow the reader to look back at Blyth over the years and rediscover aspects long-forgotten. Author Gordon Smith guides us through the streets, through the park and along the promenade just as thousands have walked before us.
In 1914 Australia joined England and declared war on Germany and it's allies. In the small New South Wales town of Cootamundra 6 young Australians, all from the same family, individually joined the fight. This saga follows their journeys through Gallipoli and the Western Front. The saga also covers time in Egypt, England and France away rom the fighting. This is a story of a family and how it was affected by a on the other side of the world. It tells of the battles, the wounding and sickness endured by these young men as well as the lighter moments. A readable history that shows some insights into what it was like during those dark times.
The Best of Both Worlds is the true story of how childhood misery and trauma helped Gordon Smith discover a gift that has helped many people throughout the world. He has helped those who are in mourning come to terms with death and bereavement by working as a medium to put people in touch with their loved ones who have passed over. Gordon held off telling the story of his discovery of spiritual powers, as he believed his mother would have hated people knowing the poverty they came from or the abuse that her son suffered. After her death, Gordon decided it was time to tell his incredible story from humble beginnings all the way to becoming an internationally praised medium working for some of the most famous and powerful people in the world. His previous volume of memoirs Spirit Messenger was a massive bestseller but only now is he able to tell the unvarnished astonishing truth.
