The number one Sunday Times bestseller from much-loved Radio 1 presenter and bestselling children's author Greg James, All the Best for the Future is a brilliantly funny and life-affirming reflection on growing up. When Greg James was ten years old, his nylon shell suit-clad idols the Chuckle Brothers signed an autograph for him with the message: "All the best for the future." It felt oddly formal for a kid. At the time, Greg had no idea what the future might hold. But then again, none of us really do. We all imagine how life will unfold: when we might get married, where we'll live, what job we'll have or how many children we'll raise. We rush from milestone to milestone, eager to unlock the next level of adulthood, until suddenly we realise we've become 'grown-ups'. But somewhere along the way, have we forgotten to have fun? From entertaining the nation on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show to writing bestselling children's adventures, hosting podcasts about cricket and Formula 1, and posting videos of his lovable but not-so-bright dog Barney, Greg's mission has always been simple: make people smile. In All the Best for the Future, Greg reflects on the life he imagined for himself and the one he's actually living. With warmth and humour, he shares the things that frustrate him, make him laugh, break his heart and keep him going day after day. Above all, he reminds us not to lose our inner child as we grow older. It's possible to be a fully functioning adult with bills to pay and responsibilities to juggle, and still find joy in playing with a train set.

"Povorot vinta" - odno iz samykh zagadochnykh i izoschrjonnykh proizvedenij Genri Dzhejmsa, klassicheskaja istorija o tom, kak tonka granitsa mezhdu strakhom vneshnim i strakhom vnutrennim. Molodaja guvernantka, prinjavshaja na sebja zabotu o dvukh bezuprechno vospitannykh detjakh, stalkivaetsja s nejasnymi, pugajuschimi projavlenijami proshlogo. Etot kompaktnyj roman prevraschaet viktorianskuju usadbu v prostranstvo trevogi, gde kazhdyj shorokh i vzgljad mozhet okazatsja chastju strashnoj istiny - ili plodom vosprijatija rasskazchitsy.

A warm and nostalgic read full of humour, from the BBC Radio 1 breakfast show DJ and bestselling author Greg James A warm and nostalgic read full of humour, from the BBC Radio 1 breakfast show DJ and bestselling author Greg James When Greg James was eight years old, his nylon shell suit-clad idols the Chuckle Brothers ('to me, to you') signed an autograph with the message 'All the best for the future'- a mad thing to say to a kid, oddly formal, like the kind of thing you write in the leaving card of a colleague you don't know very well. Eight-year-old Greg had no idea what the future held, no clue what was in store for him as he carried on through life. How could he? No one really knows what's coming. We all have big dreams and small ones, ideas about how we want our life to pan out- when you'll get married, where you'll live, how many children you want, what you want to be when you grow up. We race through the milestones, desperate to unlock life's next level. But we're not really in control of much of it. Whether it's entertaining the nation with his hugely popular BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, finding the joy in cricket and F1 in his podcasts Tailenders and The Fast and the Curious, or when he is sharing his life with his adorable dog Barney, Greg James' focus is to put a smile on people's faces because let's face it, having fun is something of a lost art that we all forget to prioritise sometimes. In All the Best for the Future, Greg shares how he thought his life would go, his reflections on the big life moments, the things that wind him up, the things that make him sad, the ones that make him laugh and the little passions and interests that he relies on to get him through the day - whether it is a good or a bad one. He tells us about who he is, who he thought he'd be and who he still thinks he could be. Most of all though, his message for everyone is not to let go of that inner child. We can all be a fully functioning adult, with bills to pay and a dog to look after, and still find time to play with a train set. Just because you grow older, it doesn't mean you have to grow OLD.

A brilliantly warm-hearted celebration of the lost art of having funWhen Greg James was ten years old, his nylon shell suit-clad idols the Chuckle Brothers ('to me, to you') signed an autograph (from them, to him) with the message 'All the best for the future.’ It was a weirdly formal message for a kid. Ten-year-old Greg had no idea what the future held, no clue what was in store for him as he carried on through life. How could he? No one really knows what's coming. We all have big dreams and small ones, ideas about how we want our lives to pan out: when you'll get married, where you'll live, how many children you want, what you want to be when you grow up. We race through the milestones, desperate to unlock life's next level and before you know it, you’re a ‘grown up'. That’s all well and good but have you remembered to have fun along the way? Whether it's entertaining the nation with his hugely popular BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, writing big funny adventures for kids with his bestselling children's books, finding the joy in cricket and F1 in his podcasts Tailenders and The Fast and the Curious, or posting stupid videos of his adorable but quite thick dog Barney, Greg’s focus is to put a smile on people's faces because, let's face it, having fun is something we all forget to prioritise sometimes. In All the Best for the Future, Greg looks at how he thought his life would go and shares the things that wind him up, make him sad, make him laugh and the little passions and interests that he relies on to get him through the day - whether it was a good one or a bad one. He tells us who he is, who he thought he'd be and who he still thinks he could be. Most of all though, his message for everyone is not to let go of that inner child as he navigates how to grow up without growing old. It’s possible to be fully functioning adults, with bills to pay and a dog to look after, and still find time to play with a train set...

A new classic from the world of Roald Dahl, now in paperback When a moving van arrives next door to the Twits and Mr. and Mrs. Lovely get out, that's bad enough. But it gets WORSE. . . Their two Lovely children, Ruff and Tumble, have moved in next door too. And the Twits HATE children. (Sorry if you are one. We don't hate you, just to be clear.) The Twits decide the Lovelies MUST go. Even if it means some serious plotting, which involves: a hungry tiger, GIANT catapults, and LOTS of disgusting dog hair. Will the horrible pair succeed in their dastardly plan? Or can the Lovelies out-trick the terrible Twits?

A wickedly funny and prank-filled adventure starring one of Roald Dahl’s most hilarious and popular creations, The Twits. This brand-new and deliciously revolting story is brilliantly written by internationally bestselling authors and children’s literacy advocates Greg James and Chris Smith and illustrated by Emily Jones. Mr and Mrs Twit are just about as nasty and revolting as two people can get. The only thing that brings the two of them pleasure is playing pranks on one another. But, when a new family called the Lovelies move in next door, with their lively 10-year-old twins, they teach The Twits to stop being so mean and horrible and they all live happily ever after . . . Ha! Not really. The Twits HATE the Lovelies. But how far will The Twits go to rid themselves of their horribly nice new neighbours? And what happens when these new neighbours, who are armed with utter loveliness, start to fight back?
