Black tumors are a frequent reason for consultation in dermatological practice. Every dermatologist's main concern is to rule out cutaneous melanoma. We propose a hybrid simulation scenario for dermatology residents, with the objectives of dermoscopically diagnosing melanoma among other pigmented skin lesions, and then announcing the diagnostic suspicion to the simulated patient. A hybrid simulator consisting of a mannequin torso bearing pigmented skin lesions and a simulated patient was set up in the simulation room. A digital dermoscope and a computer were required. The target audience consists of 4 dermatology residents. The clinical situation presented is that of a patient consulting for the modification of one of the pigmented lesions he has on his back. After welcoming the patient, the learner examines the pigmented lesions on a mannequin's torso, and interprets aloud the corresponding dermoscopic image, which he or she visualizes on a computer screen. During the debriefing, the trainer discusses the various stages of the scenario, using Contextualization-Decontextualization-Recontextualization loops.
