Methods and Tools for Resilience and Dynamic Risk Assessment of Chemical Processes introduces systematic approaches in risk assessment in chemical process safety along with relevant tools, models and latest methodologies for assessing safety and resilience in chemical processes, systems engineering, risk and resilience engineering, and simulation and modelling. The first chapters in this book outline the theoretical framework of chemical process safety, emphasizing the integration of safety into chemical engineering through key ideas like inherent safety and corporate culture. It highlights the significance of Process Hazard Identification (PHI) methods, including traditional techniques and advancements such as AI, for effectively identifying and mitigating hazards. Further chapters investigate advanced hazard assessment methodologies like Systems Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) and Risk-Based Process Safety (RBPS), alongside dynamic risk assessment techniques. The text also discusses the evolution of "resilience" in process safety, resilience assessment methods, and simulation tools for enhancing safety. This book includes real-world case studies coupled with insights on future trends in technology to help researchers and students alike to conduct their own future research into risk and resilience assessment in chemical process safety fields. This book will be an invaluable guide to anyone working in chemical process safety, particularly within the fields of risk assessment, systems modelling and control.

Wearable Solar Cells Understand a groundbreaking new energy technology Solar energy is one of the most important paths to a sustainable future. In recent years, extensive research and development has begun to produce wearable solar cells, whose novel planar and fiber format gives them enormous flexibility and a wide range of potential uses. The possibility of a solar energy source that can be fitted to the human body promises to become an extraordinary tool for meeting various kinds of personal energy needs. Wearable Solar Cells: Mechanisms, Materials, and Devices serves as a comprehensive introduction to this cutting-edge technology and its applications. Recent research pointing towards fiber-format solar cells as a bold new frontier is summarized and explored. The result is an essential resource for both experienced researchers and newcomers to the field. Wearable Solar Cells readers will also find: Close coverage of integrated energy harvesting and storage devicesDetailed discussion of dye-sensitized solar cells, polymer solar cells, perovskite solar cells, and moreAn authorial team with decades of combined research experience Wearable Solar Cells is ideal for materials scientists, polymer chemists, electrical engineers, solid-state physicists, and advanced students interested in these and related topics.
The tathagatagarbha Theory in the Srimalasutra
In this thesis the author firstly investigates various terms related to tathagatagarbha in the Srimalasutra. Secondly he focuses on the languages features of its Sanskrit fragments in the Schøyen Collection. It turns out that none of their noticeable language features can ultimately suggest the school-affiliation of the Srimalasutra. Thirdly he analyzes its paleographical features. Besides, the author conducts an initial study of textual history the Srimalasutra, and discusses the older recension(s) of the Srimalasutra based on the Sanskrit morphology, criteria of lectio difficilior and lectio facilior, ascertainment of later contents in the course of transmission, and the development of Buddhist doctrine. Finally he provides a careful textual collation, and makes an annotated translation.
