A transformer is one of the most common devices found in electrical system that links the circuits which are operating at different voltages. These are commonly used in applications where there is a need of AC voltage conversion from one voltage level to another. It is possible either to decrease or increase the voltage and currents by the use of transformer in AC circuits based on the requirements of the electrical equipment or device or load. Various applications use wide variety of transformers including power, instrumentation and pulse transformers. In a broad, transformers are categorized into two types, namely, electronic transformers and power transformers 1-2]. Electronic transformers operating voltages are very low and are rated at low power levels. These are used in consumer electronic equipment's like televisions, personal computers, CD/DVD players, and other devices.

Dairy sector has great importance for the upliftment of rural economy at national and state level. About 70 percent of the total rural population of the country sustains their livelihood from agriculture. Similarly, agriculture and dairy farming have been taking up as the main and the subsidiary occupation, by the large part of rural Punjab. However, it is observed that the share of agriculture and livestock to total GDP has been declining over the period of time due to emerging issue and challenges in this sector. This sector has been passing through high degree of competitiveness at global level.
Electrical Drives and their Controlling Techniques
Whenever the term electric motor or electrical generator is used, we tend to think that the speed of rotation of these machines is totally controlled only by the applied voltage and frequency of the source current. But the speed of rotation of an electrical machine can be controlled precisely also by implementing the concept of drive. The main advantage of this concept is, the motion control is easily optimized with the help of drive.
A Study Regarding Hiv/AIDS Among Housewives in Distt. Ludhiana Punjab.
HIV and AIDS have the potential to undermine the massive improvements that have been made in global health over the years. AIDS epidemic is now witnessing feminization of epidemic . Women are most susceptible to the negative impacts- direct or indirect, i.e. infected or affected, of HIV and AIDS. Women has been regarded as "breeder, feeder and producer" and now in context of HIV/AIDS perhaps a transmitter of virus as well. Women''s risk of contracting HIV is interlinked with lack of access to information, services and commodities. Focusing on women''s vulnerability is the key to fight the epidemic of HIV. Women have poor access to information and education, which is critical in the context of HIV. Further, stigma also affects women more intensely than men, preventing them from accessing treatment, information and prevention services . So with this aim, the present book was written to lay the foundation for further research on larger scale to address affective and contextual issues in HIV spread and prevention including family health and cultural aspects of gender and power in efforts to halt the spread of HIV infection.
