The dissertation gives a detailed overview of the phenomenon of microleakage and nanoleakage in Restorative dentistry and Endodontics. It enlists in detail all the possible etiological factors which may cause leakage, the methods to detect it and the measures that can be taken to minimize it according to different kinds of restorations so as to improve the success of the treatment, thereby increasing the longevity of the restoration and the tooth.
