For decades, the practice of "scooping up" Indigenous children-removing them from their families and communities for foster care or adoption-devastated entire generations. Sixties Scoop is the powerful, firsthand account of one child's journey through this heartbreaking and traumatic system. This poignant narrative offers a deeply personal perspective on the impact of Canada's Sixties Scoop, shedding light on the emotional toll and cultural disconnection suffered by Indigenous children. It is a story of survival, resilience, and the quest to reconnect with heritage, identity, and family. Available in both English and French, this book is a vital resource for anyone seeking to understand the lasting effects of this dark chapter in history, while honoring the strength of those who lived through it. Sixties Scoop is not just a personal memoir-it's a call for healing, reconciliation, and the recognition of the ongoing legacy of the Sixties Scoop.
