Jesus Christ came for everyone... especially you Using the golden text of scripture, John 3:16, Jackie Jacobs paints a compelling image of the gift and the giver. When God gave His son, Jesus Christ, He gave His best. In fact, it is the gift that keeps on giving. Beautifully written with great insight and perception, we are allowed through the imagery of language to understand the purpose and meaning of this great gift. It is my hope that as others read this book they will receive a new and fresh awareness of the importance of the gift of God, and our own understanding of gifts and giving. Jackie reminds us that every gift comes with a message even with no card attached. God is love so the gift that He has given to all of us is a gift that we should now give in abundance to others...the gift of Agape Love Bishop Dexter Edmund
"This is a very thought-provoking piece of writing from the pen of an anointed woman of God the words will be especially encouraging to those working humbly in the Lord's vineyard. Rooted firmly in the Scriptures, it points us towards Jesus Christ who was the perfect example of conduct both in family-life and public ministry. It reminds us that He is the just rewarder of all those that seek to be true disciples." David Miller, Overseer, Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic)"We all need a little more strength for the journey at times. As you read the pages of this day-by-day devotional you will not only be encouraged, but also stirred to uplift those around you. Each day you will be served with a timely reminder that you can indeed move beyond a life of mediocrity and into a closer relationship with God." Elder Nicholas Myers
This book brings to light the many differences in our lives before and after a significant change. It is comforting to note that the Saviour of the world remains constant in all of our life changes. Being "away" can be as promising as being in school, as exciting as being on holidays, as traumatic as being hospitalised or as heartbreaking as being in prison. We may look forward to the return home with excitement or fear or great anxiety. What changes lie in store for me? Will I be welcomed? Is there anything of my past life that is left? Depending on our circumstances while "away," we may need an invitation from others to encourage us to take that first step, yet at other times the first step must be made out of our own desperate need for a positive change. Thanks for this timely reminder that all we need can be found in Jesus. He knows us all personally, cares for us all individually and loves us all unconditionally. Londy L Esdaille Nevis
This book has been a real inspiration. The writer has captured the various crossroads that we may encounter, and has brought to light the importance of our life in Christ and what we can achieve through dedication and total commitment to God. It is a must read as it will take you into a new dimension in your walk with the Lord Jesus. ... Evangelist Jenny McKenzie, Zion Church of Christ Apostolic. In this book the author has taken the truths of Holy Scriptures and has skilfully used each subject to reinforce the principles and promises of God. The style of the writing is simple, the message of each chapter clear and the evidence used to support each subject is irrefutable. This book could be the ideal companion for daily use in both personal devotion and as a pocket encourager in the wider sense. I would strongly recommend 90 Days in the Psalms as a must read. ... ""It is good to know that when you are unable to pray there is someone who will stand in the gap and pray for you. I recommend this book; it is a good read and easy to follow"". NJ Simmonds ""This book has been a blessing to read; it has really captured both the physical and spiritual aspects of sickness and bereavement. It also offers hope by showing that unshaken faith in God will change any situation"". Evangelist Deveen Smith ""In an era where there is so much sickness and bereavement, this book is well-timed and indispensable The ease of understanding styled by the author makes this paperback appropriate for any circumstance involving being sick or bereaved. The spiritual peace delivered throughout these pages brings strength. A book which gives direction without losing focus, it clearly takes into consideration those who care so much and presents a way to manage. Pastor Hugh M McKenzie, Zion Church of Christ Apostolic
"...a clear, well thought-out book, even for someone who feels they have no understanding. A few short extracts could explain what some people take years to learn. Although it's aimed at teenagers, I think that this book could be useful for everyone ...it's a motivating, engaging and interactive guide..." Sophia Robinson (aged 15) "I liked the extracts as they were quite personal...as if it's a one-on-one conversation. Also, having the 'memorise' and 'personal notes' is a nice touch as it takes a step back almost from an in-depth conversation" Adrian Richards (aged 15) "...easy to read and relate to particularly because it's written as if I am being spoken to directly. It makes the Bible seem easier to read & also gives the verses context." Isabel Richards (aged 18) "As I was reading the samples from the book, it made me want to carry on reading.. I like that the book refers to real life day-to-day issues... I personally think it's a brilliant book & I hope to read more" Orel Bygrave (aged 14)
"From Me to You began as a regular uplifting e-newsletter. The words were always encouraging and insightful. I remember encouraging the author to collate all of the messages into a book-format as I was certain that someone would be blessed by them. You are that person, and the book you now hold has been sent to bless, uplift and enrich your soul. I give God thanks for the dedication and time that has gone into getting this book in your hands. Be blessed!" Nicholas Myers (Elder) - Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic) "I found the devotionals encouraging and an easy-read. Good that they are backed-up with personal experience, and the songs/hymns used are in context. This book will help someone dealing with damaged emotions, as well as those in need of hope and healing." Gaynor Stephenson
