Part I of HEART OF WISDOM is an historical family saga featuring the immigrant Demsky family during the years 1920 through 1946 as they face the challenges of surviving life, love and loss in Newark, New Jersey. Val Williams believes she will never be as pretty or popular as her older sister Ailene.
