A tragic accident decimates the family of Leon Schmutz, leaving him captured in the throes of Retrograde Amnesia, and deprived of any recollection of his life prior to the incident. With no one to remind him about his past, Leon struggles to find himself and his place in the world. As he searches for his past, he begins to build a life for himself in the present. He discovers a long-lost family member, a small group of friends, and maybe even love. But when his desperate search for answers leads him to an extraordinary box of home movies, the new life he's building threatens to unravel. Seven movies show seven events-events Leon will physically experience again as he watches each film. Each experience brings with it a consequence. Each consequence causes loved ones to become more and more concerned, believing these Kodak moments to be self-inflicted, and questioning Leon's intentions, as well as his mental health. Dare they intervene? As Leon desperately tries to make them understand, he fights to keep his former self in the past and move forward with his newfound identity.

What God Thinks About You Changes Everything

No matter who you are or where you live, you are in the middle of a war. Strongholds hinder you from becoming all that God desires for you and the person you truly long to be. In this war, Satan has specific assignments against us that can become strongholds in our lives--issues involving anger, sex, alcohol, drugs, pornography, food, obsessive thoughts of fear or anxiety, depression, and hatred. In 21 Days of Prayer to Overcome Strongholds, author Jim Maxim takes you on a journey of intercessory warfare in which you will learn firsthand the truths that dominate the unseen reality of the supernatural world. The Bible tells us that in this battle, "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal made of flesh and bones] but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). God's truth and the power of intercessory prayer will enable you to wield the spiritual weapons that cast down the strongholds in your life and the lives of your loved ones. Knowing God--and knowing that He's at work in you with His power and His plan--will enable you to have victory over demonic strongholds like negative emotions, addictions, compulsiveness, inferiority complex, and anything else that is out of control. All of these can be broken and defeated every time through the power of prayer, just as Jesus taught us. At the end of each day's reading, you are invited to join Jim for interactive, intercessory prayer to overcome the strongholds around you.

He lay motionless, his breathing shallow, and his mind at rest. A thick hand thrusts into his fine leather coat pocket, seeking and retrieving his wallet. Two young, fresh, and inexperienced NYPD Detectives uncover a world defined by Power, Greed, and Freedom. The pawns in this sphere are innocent victims placed in an obsolete psychiatric hospital. Here, each individual is "Indoctrinated", having their memoires, their stories, and their lives, obliterated as Dr. Michael Evans experiments on their minds. They are manipulated physically, mentally, and financially; yes, the financial advantages are vast for both Dr. Evans and his corrupt sidekick, Police Detective Fred Maxwell. With corruption at every level of the police, legal, and medical domains-will the confined patients of St. Anthony's Hospital ever again see the light of day and be reunited with their loved ones? Who would advocate for them? What could spark their internal fortitude enough to fight for their own Freedom? Weaving seamlessly through this action-packed and intelligently humorous narrative is the mission of an allied group of terrorists with ulterior motives to shame and punish America. Beware of Darkness contains all the power and authority of Dr. Evans; the greed and ruthlessness of Fred Maxwell; the emotions of Walter Carson; the naivete and innocence of Jimmy Smolinski. Freedom, they say, is found, but is it?
