Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, interkulturelle Differenzen im Hochschulstudium zwischen China und Deutschland zu rekonstruieren. Dazu wurden die Erfahrungen von chinesischen Studierenden im Studienalltag an einer deutschen Hochschule mit qualitativen und quantitativen Forschungsmethoden erfasst. Es zeigte sich, dass sowohl in den allgemeinen institutionellen Kontexten (z. B. Hochschulzugang, Studienorganisation) als auch in den spezifischen Handlungsfeldern des Hochschulstudiums (z. B. Prufungen, Experiment, wissenschaftliches Schreiben, Unterricht) Differenzen bestehen, auch hinsichtlich des Rollenverstandnisses von Dozenten und Studenten. Diese werden in der Studie in einem Modell von Dimensionen und Leitdifferenzen der Hochschulbildungskultur verdichtet.
