Spatial Cognitive Engine Technology discusses the increase in user demand for satellite wireless communication services that has led to the increasing development of spectrum resources and the fixed spectrum allocation mode which makes the utilization rate of spectrum resources lower. As an intelligent spectrum sharing technology, cognitive radio has innovated the traditional spectrum management system and is one of the effective ways to solve the above-mentioned problems. As the core of satellite cognitive radio, the spatial cognitive engine can use artificial intelligence to dynamically configure working parameters according to changes in the communication environment and user needs.

This book helps to solve the problems and challenges of satellite sensing in the current environment of increasing communications bandwidths and multiplicity of electromagnetic signals. It presents technology that makes full use of the broadband low-loss advantages of optoelectronic technology and research into new broadband radio-frequency channelization and receiving technology based on photoelectric sensing. The methods presented allow improvements in system performance in terms of receiving bandwidth, frequency-sensing accuracy, channel equalization, adjacent channel crosstalk, dynamic range, and complexity of the system structure. In addressing the difficulty of satellite spectrum control, including the issue of high-precision and real-time wide-spectrum sensing not being able to be obtained simultaneously, the book solves the problem of accurate and parallel-decomposition sensing technology using the dual-phase optical frequency comb. This method avoids the involvementof fine filtering and does not require fine alignment between the source and the filter but achieves high perceptual accuracy. Satellite Photoelectric Sensing Technology explores the research background, significance, and current challenges associated with the technology, making it relevant and interesting to academics, practitioners, and postgraduate students in this field.

How can cognition, a concept traditionally associated with the human brain, be applied to satellite systems? For the first time, cognitive system meanings and models are applied to the uncertain environmental processes of satellite systems. The authors of this book go beyond defining 'cognitive satellite systems' to design a cognitive satellite communication system architecture with satellite-to-ground coordination, which has uses in emergency response spacecraft and prediction technology. In this book, the optimal utilization of cognitive satellite system resources is discussed in four aspects:

Feature Selection and Feature Extraction in Machine Learning-Based IoT Intrusion Detection System
"In a world increasingly reliant on Internet of Things (IoT) devices, ensuring their security is paramount. Yet, these very devices are vulnerable to cyberattacks, posing significant threats to individuals and organizations alike. To combat this, machine learning has emerged as a powerful tool for network intrusion detection in IoT environments. Delving deep into this intersection of cybersecurity and machine learning, this book presents a comprehensive exploration of feature reduction techniques for IoT network intrusion detection. Drawing from extensive research, it offers a meticulous comparison of feature extraction and selection methods within a machine learning-based attack classification framework. Through rigorous analysis of performance metrics such as accuracy, f1-score, and runtime, the book sheds light on the efficacy of these techniques on the heterogeneous IoT dataset known as Network TON-IoT. Unveiling key insights, it reveals that while feature extraction tends to outperform feature selection in detection performance, the latter exhibits advantages in model training and inference time. But the findings don't stop there. The book delves deeper into the nuances of IoT security, addressing the challenges posed by computational resource constraints. It underscores the importance of feature reduction in constructing lightweight yet effective intrusion detection models tailored for IoT scenarios. Moreover, the book offers practical guidance for selecting intrusion detection methods tailored to specific IoT environments. By analyzing the trade-offs between feature extraction and selection, it equips readers with the knowledge to navigate the complexities of IoT security."
