John Dee

For his experiments in ceremonial magic at the court of Elizabeth I, doctor John Dee (1527 - 1608) is regarded as a prominent figure in the history of Western occultism. The Monas Hieroglyphica (or Hieroglyphic Monad) is an esoteric symbol invented and designed by John Dee, the Elizabethan Magician and Court Astrologer of Elizabeth I of England.
