Studying music theory allows a person to understand the building blocks of music. Music Theory for Home Study, Book I, introduces these building blocks one at a time, in a logical, 36 lesson format. Designed to be a self-paced method of study, each lesson builds on the prior ones, including short assignments in order to practice newly introduced material. Instead of trying to cover every possible aspect of music theory, only the most common concepts are explored. For example, while there are many clefs, treble and bass clefs are used exclusively instead of including clefs that are rarely seen. The range of notes is also limited to C below bass clef to C above treble clef, with a maximum of two ledger lines above or below either clef. By limiting what is studied, the building blocks are easier to see, leading to a firmer foundation on how to best understand music theory.

Together for first time in a single volume, two classic wind band scores: English composer Gustav Holst's First Suite in E-flat for Military Band and Second Suite in F for Military Band. Now entering their second century as part of the wind band repertoire, these works are performed by bands around the world, from school bands to professional military bands. Designed to serve as study scores, each piece has been newly engraved using contemporary publication standards.

Arban Conservatory Method for Trumpet: Abridged Edition, contains 156 of the most commonly used pages found in the larger Complete Conservatory Method, first published in 1864. This new edition is designed to be a more user-friendly version of the original work. Engraved using contemporary publication standards, it is approximately half the size, resulting in a book that fits more easily into an instrument case or backpack. Each page is also formatted to be identical to the most commonly used edition.

It wasn't supposed to happen, but there were four Perfects in the same school. A Perfect is an industry insider term for a customer that does not miss a single question on their yearly standardized tests. These particular customers are eleven-year-old students at Longshore Middle School. No one could have predicted their perfect scores before the results of their 6th grade tests were reported. Mr. Price, their principal, was the first one to grasp the reason for the Longshore Turnaround, a sudden and highly publicized increase in his school's test scores. He understood it was caused by this brilliant quartet of students. Joe Meier, CEO of Universal Testing Solutions, also discovered their test results. The principal was thrilled; the CEO was terrified. As the Perfects move into their high school years, Mr. Smythson, their ambitious principal, exploits them to further his own career. Once their talents are fully exposed, they decide to take the testing into their own hands.
