This book was written to provide the person struggling with addiction, a Bible-based and God-focused program of recovery. This is a collection of 42 daily devotionals based on Biblical concepts and teachings. The book is broken down into six sections with seven devotionals in each section. Each section deals with one aspect of faith that will help the person struggling with addiction to achieve and maintain sobriety. The six areas of faith covered in this book include: reconciliation, repentance, faith, God's armor, seeking shelter, and running the race. Once the reader completes the 42 daily devotionals, the reader will have compiled 42 verses that form the beginning of a recovery toolbox. These verses are the verses that I have found to be most useful in my recovery journey. These verses are just the beginning. The toolbox will grow over time, but these verses are the verses I have found the most useful during my recovery.

NOBODY TOLD the three oldest men in town that hitmen and Tasmanian Tigers were going into lockdown with them Former mayor James Northan, 82, isn't on speaking terms with former town drunk Wish-Wash, 83, and he barely tolerates his former employee Clarence Noodle, 85. Lots, actually, as this little black comedy will attest. Who knew 2020 could be so funny Strap yourself in for a story that follows the new lives of the three old men from the funny Windy Mountain series. William finds himself out-gunned, out-muscled and out-ranked on the high seas. He really has to pull something special out of his hat this time in this slapstick comedy from Australia.

Local government plays a critical role in the lives of all citizens, from remote towns to capital cities. As the political legitimacy and importance of municipalities grow, however, it becomes increasingly difficult to strike a balance between local and higher levels of government. The contributors to Local Government in a Global World provide insights into key themes impacting local governance in two federations with much in common historically, culturally, and politically: Australia and Canada. These essays examine changes in the Australian and Canadian systems through four thematic lenses: citizen participation in government systems, the restructuring and reform of local governments, the use of performance measures and management systems in the administration of local governments, and the relations of local governments within higher levels of governments. Unique in its thematic selection and in its compare-and-contrast structure, Local Government in a Global World provides a valuable reference for those seeking to understand how effective local government is structured and managed.
