Zadok Ben-David's inspiration derives from nature, science, magic and illusion. From Evolution and Theory (1995), where he explores scientific discoveries, to the psychological installation Blackfield (2007), with thousands of flowers, and the magical The Other Side of Midnight (2013), which incorporates hundreds of insects, one of the characteristics of Ben-David's work is the use of multiplicity as an organising principle. He creates an alternate amplified viewing space where the relationship between viewer (human) and artwork (nature) is both sacred and destabilising. The new ongoing installation People I Saw but Never Met, features thousands of miniatures of people that he has photographed and drawn during his travels, suggesting ways in which we are both isolated yet always close together. Together with outdoor works, completed over a twenty-year period, this new book brings these four installations together for the first time, in all their magical detail.

Destined to become one of the most influential postwar armoured cars, the V100 Commando was developed by the Cadillac Gage Company in 1962 as a private venture and the first prototype was completed in the same year. It was designed as a multi-purpose vehicle and could function as an 11-man personnel carrier, reconnaissance vehicle, convoy escort, command or patrol car and a riot vehicle. Electricity Slides is an experimental work, written in the Dadaist "cut-up" style of the 1950s. Insbesondere achtete er darauf, keine Zeit mehr mit Belanglosem zu vergeuden. Der Eingeweihte lebte das "universelle Prinzip" vor, und es war eindeutig, dass er damit viel Erfolg hatte. In seinen Instruktionen nennt er eine Reihe von Beispielen, und f hrt aus, dass das "universelle Prinzip" immer schon bestanden habe - ebenso wie die Elektrizit t. In Teil 2 werden die Erfolgsprinzipien teilweise anders zusammengruppiert, und in moderner Sprache nochmals erl utert. Der "Eingeweihte" weist darauf hin, dass f r den Skeptiker, der bereits alles zu wissen meint, wenig Hoffnung best nde. Geistige Aufgeschlossenheit und ein klares Endziel seien unabdingbare Voraussetzungen.
