Jose A. Weissberger

""They Still Draw Pictures"" is a collection of sixty drawings created by Spanish children during the Spanish Civil War. The book is compiled and edited by Jose A. Weissberger. The drawings were originally created by children who were affected by the war and were sent to the United States for safekeeping. The book includes a foreword by the renowned Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca, who was also a victim of the war. The illustrations depict the experiences of the children during the war, including bombings, destruction, and displacement. The book provides a poignant insight into the impact of war on children and their creativity as a means of coping with traumatic experiences.
