Effect of Seed Soaking Treatments on Growth, Yield, and Quality of Baby Corn (Zea mays L.). This study explores the impact of various seed soaking treatments on the growth, yield, and quality of baby corn (Zea mays L.), with the aim to enhance agricultural practices for improved productivity and profitability. The primary objectives of this research were to determine how seed soaking influences the growth of baby corn, to assess its effect on overall yield, and to evaluate its contribution to the quality of the harvested cobs. The NAA treatment also led to a remarkable increase in cob yield, both per plant and per hectare, along with improved cob quality, including higher sugar content and protein levels. Overall, the findings underscore the effectiveness of seed soaking with NAA 50 ppm as an innovative approach to not only enhance the growth and yield of baby corn but also to improve its nutritional quality, offering valuable insights for maximizing agricultural output and ensuring greater profitability for farmers.

L'esperimento stato condotto con un disegno a blocchi randomizzati con tre repliche e otto trattamenti. Il rendimento netto pi alto, pari a 2.52.339 ha-1, stato ottenuto con il mepiquat cloruro 200 ppm, mentre il massimo rapporto benefici/costi (2,12) stato ottenuto con NAA 40 ppm, con un rendimento netto di 2.49.276 ha-1 .

Der Versuch mit dem Titel "Wirkung von Chemikalien auf Wachstum, Ertrag und Qualit t von Babymais (Zea mays L.)" wurde im Sommer 2020 an der Sorte GAYMH 1 am Horticulture Polytechnic, ASPEE College of Horticulture and Forestry, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari, Gujarat, Indien, durchgef hrt. Der Versuch wurde in einem randomisierten Blockversuch mit drei Wiederholungen und acht Behandlungen angelegt. Der h chste Nettoertrag von ₹ 2.52.339 ha-1 wurde mit Mepiquatchlorid 200 ppm erzielt, das maximale Nutzen-Kosten-Verh ltnis (2,12) wurde mit NAA 40 ppm mit einem Nettoertrag von ₹ 2.49.276 ha-1 erzielt.

The experiment entitled "Effect of chemicals on growth, yield and quality of baby corn (Zea mays L.)" was conducted during summer 2020 on var. GAYMH 1 at Horticulture Polytechnic, ASPEE College of Horticulture and Forestry, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari, Gujarat, India. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications and eight treatments. The highest net return of ₹ 2,52,339 ha-1 was obtained with mepiquat chloride 200 ppm, maximum benefit: cost ratio (2.12) was obtained with NAA 40 ppm with net return of ₹ 2,49,276 ha-1.
