The authors describe proven monitoring techniques which can also interpret data and automatically implement adjustments to environment control systems. Readers are led through a series of case studies from commercial pig farms. Explanations of the source of problems within pig buildings are provided and augmented by graphical data which are explained in simple terms. In particular, the book makes much reference to I. T. devices already in use within other industries and speculates how these will be increasingly used to help pig farmers integrate more closely with their food chain partners.

A simpler, more personalised way of tackling love and death, which are things people manage to always be talking about and talking around at the same time. I have spent a long time attempting to articulate my feelings in a way that is easy to understand for a neurotypical world. None of these poems will be understood by you reading them exactly the way they were by me writing them. Although uncomfortable for some, that reality is the essence of poetry to me. I've never felt better understood than when writing things knowing that would never be the outcome. You're not expected to understand my thoughts. I do, though, hope you enjoy at least one.""

Many women are confronted each day with the problem of trying to reconcile their employment and family commitments. The ongoing discussion of this problem shows that satisfactory solutions have not yet been discovered. A period of leave from paid employment on the birth of a child has for many years been portrayed as a means to resolve this dilemma. Using longitudinal methods and a life-course approach, this book examines how changing leave regulations and occupational opportunity structures have affected when, where and how long women in Germany work. Policy makers' continued failure to address the underlying issue of the division of paid and care work between women and men as social groups has cemented traditional gender relations and not solved the problem of reconciliation.
